Lepers were often ostracized and deemed unclean by their communities, forcing them to live in isolation. This treatment was due to the belief that leprosy was a divine punishment for sin, further deepening the stigma surrounding this condition. My research has helped me better understand the hardships faced by those affected by leprosy in the Bible and the profound impact it had on their lives.
